If a man does these things, he’s not in love – he’s obsessed with you
The difference between obsession and love
For some guys, it’s not just infatuation. They have a distorted idea of love, romance, and relationships.
If someone is in love with you, they trust you. They want you to be the best version of yourself and only want good things for you. That includes giving you space when you need it. On the other hand, someone who is obsessed with you will be jealous and possessive.
With that in mind, here are some big signs he’s obsessed with you — that he’s actually toxic.
When does the problem begin – is he in love or obsessed with you?
Signs that someone doesn’t love you, but has an unhealthy obsession
1. Brings you lots of attention – intense and constant
An obsessed man won’t be able to leave you – if the two of you aren’t together, he’ll text and call you continuously throughout the day no matter what time it is.
As this guy admires you, he keeps sending you gifts, love messages, and contacting you all the time – even when you ask him not to. He’s trying to get your attention and get hold of your time. It’s because what he feels isn’t just infatuation – it’s an intense obsession.
2. He Wants To Know Where You Are 24/7
No matter where you are or what you’re doing, it just seems like he’s trying to keep tabs on you. You can’t even breathe without having him watching you or wanting to know what you’re up to.
If you have a romantic history with him or are dating him it’s even worse, because he thinks he has “claimed” you.
And sometimes it makes you paranoid to think that a guy is basically obsessed with you to the point that he wants to follow your every step.
3. It takes an unreal time to be together
The obsessed man seems to forget about all other commitments. He’ll insist on seeing you, and if that’s not possible, he’ll talk on the phone with you for hours. He’ll just want to listen to your voice and tell you it makes him feel good and energizes him. He will ignore other aspects of his life for you
4. Jealous of people and activities that grab your attention
Because it should only be aimed at him. He may even make you quit your job because he sees your coworker as a threat to your relationship. In normal love relationships, jealousy is also allowed, but it’s not too painful and usually not entirely without cause. The obsessed man is constantly watching and checking on you when the two of you are not together.
5. He Tries To Control Everything You Do
He wants to force you to do everything he wants. Your decisions are no longer yours. He decides what you can and cannot do – or at least he tries to. He suffocates the freedom of your spirit, then says it is only because he cares about you. But make no mistake: this is toxic obsession and possessiveness!
Obsessed love begins with intense emotions, attention, and flattery and gradually turns into an unhealthy obsession with you.
This is not love. Thought so but not, sooner or later the truth will be clear. And the consequences won’t be light – for both of you.
