A single dadr took his daughter to dinner, but a note from strangers made his heart explode
Family is a very important thing – and growing up in a healthy environment is even more important.
Raising children in the best way possible can sometimes be very difficult, especially for single parents.
And that’s one of the things that makes the single parent in this heartwarming story so wonderful.
On Valentine’s Day, this father decided to take his daughter on a very special date. This dad made sure to put everything aside to make his daughter feel loved on this special night.
They went to the Spaghetti Factory restaurant to spend some quality time and eat a nice meal together. But what the father didn’t know was that this special evening would end in tears.
Moments later, the evening took an interesting turn. The waitress came to their table and gave the father a handwritten note.
The father, surprised, opened the note – and his surprise only grew as he read each written word.
“Hey! Sorry to spy on you, but my husband and I saw you with your little date and were impressed by what a wonderful father you are”, the note read.
“For two adults who grew up without a father, it’s important to have a father figure at such a young age. Keep up the good work Dad! Dinner is on us”.
The note was so humbling and well written that it brought tears to the father’s eyes. He was overcome with emotion and wanted to talk to the couple who had sent the note. But they had already left the restaurant. The father, whose username is “takopoke” on Imgur, shared the tender word on the platform.
He captioned his post:
“As a single dad, I took my six year old daughter out to valentines dinner tonight when this happened. I wont lie, I teared up at the table. So, thank you random strangers. Thank you.”
Given the dynamics of the special bond a father shares with his daughter, spending time together, such as dinner out, can mean a lot to children. Maybe the single dad wanted to do the same for his little princess.
We’re so glad that the strangers expressed their gratitude to the father he so richly deserves – their gesture also moved us to tears.
