Recently, a video recording the scene of a widow crying over her husband’s coffin on the airport runway has made many people unable to hold back tears when witnessing.

Shawn Thomas was a Green Beret who loved serving his country. He had been deployed eight times during his career in the military and passed away in a car accident on his last deployment. Shawn earned two Bronze Stars and four Good Conduct Medals throughout his long service. He was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery.
After that news, his body was brought to Raleigh-Durham International Airport, USA and covered with the national flag – a sacred ritual for military soldiers who unfortunately died while participating in the war. His wife Tara showed up to pick up her husband’s body. This woman could not hold back her tears, she bowed her head next to her husband’s coffin in infinite pity.

The video was captured by a passenger on a nearby plane. Immediately after being shared, the video had more than 7 million views along with countless words of mourning and condolences for the ill-fated wife.
Lisa Williams filmed the weeping widow from the window of a jetliner at Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina last week. Passengers had been asked to stay seated while the woman was escorted off the plane.
His wife, Tara Thomas, approached his flag-draped coffin after it had been removed from the belly of the passenger jet. She placed a hand over the Stars and Stripes and bowed her head.
Swaying in sadness, she bent over her husband’s coffin and sobbed, her shoulders shaking. The couple has four children.
Inside the quiet plane, passengers softly wept.
