If You Do These 10 Things Without Your Partner, Your Relationship Isn’t Going To Last
1. Celebrate milestones.
If you have to celebrate your milestones with other people because your partner doesn’t care or support you, that’s a bad sign.
2. Attend family events.
From time to time, it’s normal for couples to have to separate if they have to go to several events at once. However, attending all family events alone, without your partner, can be discouraging.
3. Attend important medical appointments.
When you’re extremely sick or going to the doctor to deal with important medical issues, there are times when your partner can’t come. But if he or she misses all of your important medical visits, this can become a problem.
4. Going through the loss alone.
When you lose someone, you go through a period of grief. Your partner should be there without you having to ask. Love means having compassion and support for your partner.
5. Have only solitary hobbies.
When all your hobbies and interests are completely separate from your partner’s, it can become a major problem. While leading your own life is a good thing, what’s the point of having a partner if you don’t spend time together?
6. Child rearing.
Children should be raised with the help of both partners. When parenting falls on the shoulders of one person and the other partner is not present or is always doing something else, it can create a void in the family.
7. Fighting for the relationship.
One person alone cannot sustain a relationship. If only one person fights for the relationship, things will not work out.
8. Fulfill your dreams (without support).
If you find that your partner is not supportive at all or doesn’t even care if you achieve your goals, something is wrong.
9. Experiment with new things.
Couples need to spend time together and bond. When one person wants to try new things and experience life, but the other is stuck in their comfort zone, it can end up tearing the couple apart.
10. Travel for fun.
While it’s okay to travel sometimes and do things without your partner, it’s a whole other thing to always travel alone, either because your partner doesn’t want to join you or because you don’t want him or her to go with you.
