Prince Harry is allegedly “in tears” after learning that his older brother has got a new title from their father. Prince William was awarded with a new military honor that formerly belonged to the Duke of Sussex.
In British royal family news, the Duke of Sussex has reacted to Prince William’s appointment as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps. Buckingham Palace made the original announcement about Prince William’s new title. According to royal analyst Richard Fitzwilliams, Prince Harry is quite angry.
“King Charles’ announcement that Prince Harry is being stripped of his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Corps is a real kick in the teeth for the son who always felt marginalized,” Richard said as he discussed the subject.
He went on to say that what adds insult to injury for Prince Harry is that the position is being given to someone he sees as the “cause of so many of his problems – his brother.” The Duke of Sussex is claimed “to have been in tears when he heard” the news.
Adding salt to the wound, Prince Harry enjoyed being Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps because it was something “he was very proud” of.
Richard claimed that the Duke is also upset since his military service was “a rare happy time in his life” because he was acknowledged for his achievements “as a man” rather than as a member of the royal family.
Much like Richard has speculated on how Prince Harry reacted to his brother’s new title, royal author Tom Quinn has expressed his thoughts on why the prince opted to wear his medal of honor.
“Wearing this was Harry’s way of reminding his family that his grandmother valued his contribution […] wearing the medal is Harry’s way of saying ‘You’ve taken everything else from me, but you can’t take this!'” stated Tom to a reporter.
Even when Prince Harry returns to the United Kingdom in May 2024, he will not meet with the King of England due to the significant schism between the father and son. This drew passionate reactions from the people.
Prince Harry, like his father, had a hectic schedule. His time in the UK was devoted commemorating the Invictus Games’ anniversary, which began with a panel on May 7, 2024. Then, while visiting St. Paul’s Cathedral, Prince Harry delivered a reading.
The Duke of Sussex’s relationship with his brother Prince William is tense, just as it is with his father. During an appearance with “Good Morning America,” he spoke openly about their hostility.
When asked how their late mother, Princess Diana, would feel about their separation, Prince Harry stated, “I believe she would be unhappy. I believe she would be looking at it in the long run, understanding that there are certain steps we must take to mend the relationship. The king also stated that he feels his mother’s presence more strongly than ever before.
