Say Goodbye to Mold or Nasty Stains on Your Shower Curtain!
When you step into the bathroom, you don’t want to see your shower curtain stained or looking yellower than before. It’s not the most hygienic sight. You might think you have to buy a new one, but that’s a waste! There’s no need to throw away your shower curtain, as it’s very easy to wash if you do it the right way.
Your discolored shower curtain will look like new!
Put the curtain in the washing machine and wash at a low spin speed using liquid detergent. Add two or three towels to the machine (the towels will assist in the cleaning process). When the washing machine is finished, hang the curtain to dry or put it in the dryer.
If you put it in the dryer, you should select a cool program, one for delicate materials. This trick is great for shower curtains made of plastic or vinyl. If your shower curtain is made from cotton, nylon, polyester, or hemp, it’s best to read the label carefully.
Windows and Doors
You want to avoid mold as much as possible. That’s why it’s recommended to open the window after a shower, or open the door for a while. In any case, make sure that the humidity can leave the room.
You also should not forget to close the shower curtain. This small action can make a big difference in preventing mold.
