This poor puppy was abandoned, which is something no animal should have to go through. When her owner passed away she was left alone in an old house with a closed gate.
It was two years before that. The dedicated dog waits day after day for her owner to arrive, in desperate need of grooming right now.
When animal rescuers learnt about the dog owned by a woman named Boksil who lived down the street, they got in touch.
She was terrified about the little puppy when she saw it. She feeds her one meal a day. The rain started as soon as the rescuers arrived. They were so sorry for the poor puppy. They were unable to approach her since she was behind a barrier.
The woman from across the street approached as the rain began to fall. She explained what had happened, refuting the rescuers’ belief that Boksil was her dog. The dog is also rather hesitant, making it difficult to trap her. The woman told the rescuers that she could only assist her virtually. She cannot approach any closer than Boksil will allow.
The rescuers wanted to figure out how to catch Boksil. She was anxious for a second chance and a new home. They set up a camera from a distance and watched as Boksil exited the house. She climbs out and heads to the food and water. Thankfully, she can eat.
The rescuers’ mission was to discover a means to capture Boksil. She urgently needed a fresh start and a place to live. They put a camera in a remote spot and watched Boksil leave the house. She gets out and walks towards the water and food. She can now eat, thank god.
They watch as Boksil crawls beneath the gate after a few nibbles and some water. If she allows it, they can now reach her. Boksil walks across to the road and sits there, her heavy fur matted in a ball. It is a genuinely devastating sight. She waits for her owner to get home as she watches each passing car in the hopes that one will stop.
The rescuers recognized this was impossible, so they developed a plan to save her the next day. When they arrive, Boksil bolts up the nearby mountain as soon as she hears them.
