Underwear Mistakes: Women Make At Least 2 Of These 9 Mistakes
1. Not wearing cotton underwear
You might think that underwear material doesn’t matter, but it does. Different materials allow different variations of breath-ability, and the degree to which the ᴠᴀɢɪɴᴀʟ area becomes moist and promotes growth of bacteria. The most advisable underwear material to wear is cotton. It’s highly breathable, which inhibits the growth of bacteria.
The least advisable underwear material to wear is silk and synthetics as they allow for little ventilation in the ᴠᴀɢɪɴᴀʟ area. Instead, they trap heat and moisture, which spells unwanted bacteria and infections. If you must wear underwear made from synthetic fabrics, choose a pair with a cotton-lined crotch, and limit the silky panties to special occasions when you don’t have to wear them for too long.
2. Underwear that suits the shape of your body
Let’s be honest, you’ve already realized which type of underwear is just not right for you, and though you want to wear it – it’s better not to. Why make something beautiful – no so beautiful? A pear body shape should wear lace shorts, while curved women should wear high-rise underwear.
3. The bra size
The myth that wearing a smaller bra to make your cleavage look fuller, is such a silly thing. First of all, you show that you’re wearing something too small for you and second – the tightness decreases your blood flow, that might make discomforts and itchiness in your back and under your breasts. If you want fuller looking breasts – invest into a push up!
4. Wearing underwear to bed
Going to bed without underwear allows the ᴠᴀɢɪɴᴀʟ area to breath overnight, and it also gives it time to self-clean. As people, we tend to sweat a lot while sleeping, which causes moisture thus making women prone to vaginal issues such as yeast infections and bacterial ᴠᴀɢɪɴᴏsɪs.
Going commando can make all the difference for those who deal with regular yeast infections, but if you really don’t like the feeling of being ɴᴀᴋᴇᴅ, ABC News recommends you wear loose-fitting pyjama bottoms. The news organisation adds that if you’re going without underwear but are wearing another type of bottom, they need to be washed frequently as well.
5. Wearing the wrong size/fit
Wearing underwear that is too tight has health consequences – it promotes bacterial growth and infections, as well as chaffing of the surrounding skin, leading to irritation and infection.
6. The color of your underwear
Should always match the color of the blouse, skirt or pants you’re wearing. Unless you want to create an effect with wearing a red bra under a visible black crochet blouse… however, for everyday occasions, just stick with this advice.
7. Matching bra and panties
You might consider this a “special occasions rule”, but, always tend to wear matching underwear, because from other perspective, you will always have the same color of underwear for putting in the washing machine! Otherwise, you would just wait for more dark or more white clothes to pile up…Your everyday underwear – should be the so called “sleep panties”. Never wear too much silk or lace materials, for they are bad for the skin, and also feel more uncomfortable.
