Sometimes, it is simply because they know they shouldn’t, that tempts them to do the exact opposite. It is the fascination with “forbidden fruit.”
They think of the one who got away, or the one who never got away, or the life they could have had, if only … It’s more about emotion and the desire to get what we shouldn’t have.
